The Debt Crisis -That Wasn't

If ever there was a time to prepare for the worst, this is it.

We're talking about the way the US government has handled the “debt crisis” charade, ratcheting up the illusionary fear that somehow it would default on its debts, then coming up with a last-minute “solution” that sent the stock market into a tail spin. Then the United States lost its top-tier AAA credit rating from Standard & Poor's.

But wait, there's more – and it is worse. Under cover of that orchestrated debt “solution” they came up with a Super Congress idea.

The idea being that six Republicans, six Democrats and the President should form a committee that from now on will dictate to Congress what laws should be passed, without debate, and without amendments.

Last week, HuffPost reported on the extraordinary powers being delegated to the emerging super Congress, “but most beltway media has largely dismissed the group as just another Washington commission.

“It is far from being a commission.” Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev pictured left and below) has made it clear that this unelected body of politicians has taken unto itself the sort of powers that have previously only been seen in fascist countries.

"The joint committee -- there are no constraints," Reid said on the Senate floor. "They can look at any program we have in government, any program. ... It has the ability to look at everything."

What he means by “look at everything” is an ominous portent – a signal that the electoral and governmental process has now been usurped by a Gang of Thirteen – a group of dictators so far removed from the people who originally elected them, and so oblivious to the Constitution, that this nation has become the very thing that its first residents sought to overthrow – a nation of serfs and overlords, subjects and barons, peasants and royalty, ruled by a selfish heartless elite.

Royalty these days is the 25 Wall Street CEOs and hedge fund managers who took home an average of $880 million each last year – and paid less in taxes per dollar than the average mechanic who services their private and corporate jets.

Royalty is the privately owned banks, including the Federal Reserve, which have taken trillions of dollars in bailout money and given not one cent to those whose homes were foreclosed on as a result of those very same banks creating a housing bubble that was doomed to burst – and they knew it.

Royalty is the super congress that will in effect rule by decree. Today, they suggest their role is limited to deciding by November what budget cuts to make (with no tax increases at all) and then our elected representatives will get to say “yes” or “no” and that's that. But if they can “look at everything” they will inevitably expand way beyond that role. Guaranteed.

And those who benefit will once again be the super rich, the bankers and the corporations, while politicians in general will continue to feed at the trough of corporate donations in return for which they will pass legislation they haven't read and do not understand – except that it will continue to appease and please their corporate donors.

Are we alone in questioning the draconian powers this committee has given itself? Not at all. The Huffington Post (in this article) is certainly concerned about this end run around the electoral and Constitutional form of government that, until now, has been unique to the United States. (And Ron Paul here).

Nevertheless, we can expect the Mainstream Media to stay predictably quiet and servile; in fact, you might expect them to constantly trumpet their approval of this committee, as if it is the last best hope for America. But they too are corporate lackeys.

Granted, the President will (supposedly) have the power of veto (and retain the powers of passing Executive Orders, but we'll leave that can of worms for another time). Regrettably, presidents these days are first and foremost politicians with an eye to the next election. “Spine” is not a word they understand. “Rubber stamp” is closer to the mark. “Dictator” is w word Bush Jr used in bad jest.

One is tempted to say that from now on, there will be no higher authority in the land than this Gang of 12 (or 13), for those who make the law have proven to be beyond the law. Or, as in the case of the Bush Jr. administration, they have ignored such things as the Geneva Convention and reinterpreted the law in order to justify the use of torture, the killing of civilians with drone aircraft, and the use of radioactive depleted uranium (DU) shells and cluster bombs that induce cancers that kill innocent people gradually, slowly, stealthily over a period of time. Or suddenly, with a surprise Hellfire missile strike on a wedding party, or a house full of civilians, women and children, who die needless deaths at the hands of distant cold-blooded robotic controllers of these multi-million-dollar drones.

That utter disregard for human rights is now reflected in the super congress's dismissal of everything that the United States Constitution once stood for. That which they once swore to protect is now but tattered paper, trampled underfoot by a gang that believes it has the authority to dictate to this nation and the world.

And yet, if truth be known, they are doing what they can to fulfill a long-standing plan that was hatched decades ago by those who have seen themselves as the ultimate controllers of governments and the world. We refer to those shadowy moguls who have conspired behind the scenes and sometimes openly to create a world government, a “New World Order,” with them in control, of course.

Seen in that light, this super congress is perhaps close to being the capstone of those endeavors.

And if you think that is a conspiracy theory, you simply haven't done your homework. You have been too busy watching inane television programs like the brainwashing Simpsons or “news” presented by Barbie Doll and Kenny about drug addicted and alcoholic celebrities, or the sexual dalliances of politicians – when they're not beating the drums of war on behalf of their owners and whatever government is in power.

Minions all, they dance to the tune of their psychopathic controllers.

But the dance is coming to an end. The beast is being exposed. For as it is said, “by their works ye shall know them.” And the works these people have done are nothing short of reprehensible, for they have created a world in which literally millions are out of work, millions live at or below poverty level, millions are hungry all day every day, and millions are dying for lack of care. And that's just in the United States.

They have taken the labor and the taxes of generations of good people, and the lives of tens of thousands of dedicated military men and women, all for the purpose of finally controlling every aspect of our lives.

The mountain of debt that this “debt crisis” was about, is a mountain that was consciously and deliberately built by successive governments. Ironically, sadly, they have known, all of them, that the taxpayers would have to pay it off – and never could - and never will. It's totally impossible.

While protecting themselves and their ultra rich donors from tax increases of any kind, they have burdened their electors and constituents with the impossible task of repaying interest that was created out of thin air (just as money is) – and when that wasn't enough, they expect those same taxpayers to suffer yet again through lost jobs, the evisceration of social programs and entitlements...and more debt.

If power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, then we have reached the pinnacle of absolute moral and political corruption. Dress it up any way you want, excuse it with whatever excuses you might, the fact remains that from now on, the United States is to be ruled by a Gang of Thirteen.

Unless....

Unless this is all a deliberate chess move to destroy the global economy, create a monster Depression, and allow those hidden controllers to create a world government, then pick up all remaining natural assets and resources for pennies on the dollar while millions, perhaps billions, starve to death. Does that sound preposterous? If so, you know nothing about psychopaths. Psychopaths have no conscience. And when dealing with psychopaths, that's exactly the sort of game plan one should expect.

Unless... Unless the worm turns. As it has in the Middle East and now in Europe. The backlash is going global, spreading like a viral email.

The slaves and serfs have had enough. They are overthrowing Royalty, dictators, politicians and bankers, despite being killed as they demonstrate and fight for their rights and their lives – as those who fought to create the United States once did.

Perhaps, just perhaps, 13 will prove to be a very unlucky number.
